Avoid large meals 2. Do not lie down within two hours of eating 3. Foods to avoid: - Fatty & fried foods - Chocolate - Coffee (even decaffeinated) and tea, (herbal teas ok) - Tomato products - Cola drinks - Mints 4. No tobacco nor alcohol 5. No aspirin or anti-inflammatory medications (Tylenol is ok) 6. Lose weight as directed by your physician 7. Avoid tight-fitting clothing 8. Consider using a “wedge” or bed blocks for the head of your bed #### Ask your physician about medications for treatment of your heartburn.
