We wanted to take an opportunity to reach out to you with an update from Gastroenterology Associates, PC (GA) and Long Island Center for Digestive Health (LICDH).
First and foremost, we hope that you and yours are well, and that you have been coping with challenges that have been presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As you may be aware, GA continues to operate, albeit on a limited schedule.
Our staff is available Monday to Friday to assist you with telemedicine appointments with your physician. Should you need guidance with the technology required to schedule these appointments, please do not hesitate to contact our staff or visit our website for assistance.
As a result of the recommendation to cease elective procedures, LICDH has been closed since March. If you had a procedure scheduled for any time after our closure, you should have already been contacted to reschedule; if not, please call and our staff will assist. If you believe that your procedure should be rescheduled in the near-term, please discuss with your doctor, and we will attempt to schedule at NYU Winthrop, our affiliate hospital.
While we do not yet know when we will be able to resume office visits and elective procedures, rest assured that we are monitoring the situation on a daily basis, and look forward to seeing and caring for you again as soon as possible. Our goal is to continue to be able to provide a safe environment for our patients, and we look forward to implementing the recommended measures to do so in a timely fashion.
